Kevin Bloody Wilson – Almost Awesome Tour
Aussie comedian Kevin Bloody Wilson is hitting the road again this April through to June with his hilarious and politically incorrect 'Almost Awesome' tour. The comedic legend has scheduled dates in South Australia, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland and Tasmania.
For the South Australian leg, he will be performing in Port Lincoln, Whyalla and Adelaide, with the Goolwa, Port Pirie and Tanunda dates already finished. He will also be heading to the Northern Territory for shows in Darwin, Katherine and Noonamah. Not forgetting Tasmania, he will be visiting Burnie, Launceston and Hobart. Fans in New South Wales need not worry 'cause Kevin will be doing an exclusive show in Wallaroo. All the other dates will be spent in Queensland, spreading the fun and laughter in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Rockhampton, Capella, Mackay, Cannonvale, Ayr, Townsville and Cairns.
As anyone who knows the funnyman performer, he is definitely not 'almost awesome' himself—but an aptly named tour opens up for a whole range of fun on the road. The tour will not only feature Kev's larrikin take on life but will also see him play his extensive catalogue of hits including 'D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F', 'Dick’taphone', 'I Knew the Bride (When She Used to be a Mole)' and 'Living Next Door to Alan' to name a few.
Kev says audiences can really expect anything to happen. “There will be lots of full frontal nudity from me,” he jokes. “The show revolves on its own axis, I never know night from night what is going in the show. A lot of ahgd-lib goes in, it depends on what is happening in the world between now and then.”
Kevin Bloody Wilson’s story is one of a legend. He originally recorded songs—penned about his experiences working in the mines in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia—on a cassette tape for his mates in the early 1980s. Fast forward more than three decades and Kev is a household name throughout Australia and the world. It is amazing how a man who was getting arrested for performing his politically incorrect songs in public over thirty years ago is now one of the country’s greatest living treasures.
