South Brisbane Sailing Club (SBSC) is a family based river sailing club. Established in 1903 the club is a part of Brisbane’s sporting history.Located in Orleigh Park, West End SBSC’s clubhouse was built in 1956.
It was built to last because despite ‘going under’ in 1974 , 2011 and 2013 floods the building survived (albeit requiring significant repairs) on both occasions.
Our 2014-15 season has now commenced and we are in for a fun filled season. The Club races boats under 5 metres long and we invite all S.B.S.C. members and the public to join the Brisbane River sailing community. If you don’t have a boat, you can hire one of the Clubs’ sailing dinghies.
