The Carlton Wine Room

The Carlton Wine Room opened in May 2009, and is on the corner of Drummond and Faraday Streets in a restored 19th century heritage-listed building. Managing co-owners, Fiona Sheeran and Domenic Zanellini have after many years of planning, created a distinctive space to enjoy their food and wine. There are four areas available to cater for any customer’s requirement or special occasion.

The Main Bar is an informal, large, light-filled room with bar and table seating. Stepping down into our Smalls area we have another small bar-seating area if you prefer a quieter space. The stairs alongside the bar lead to the Mezzanine. Here, custom-made booths and table seating provide an area that is away from the bustle of the main bar and can be booked for functions.

At the very top of the Carlton Wine Room we offer a series of light filled private rooms. Perfect for small cocktail functions, wine tastings, wedding ceremony and informal corporate events.

The Cellar is a unique space and can be reserved for a private dinner parties. Accessed by a secret stairwell behind the main bar, the bluestone-walled Cellar is an intimate room where you are surrounded by our wine collection.
