Across the country weekend, it’s comedy central in Melbourne with Arj Barker halfway through his 21-date residency at Melbourne Town Hall, Akmal offering his side-splitting view of the world, Tracy Morgan continues his maiden tour of Australia, our favourite threesome Tripod perform their Men Of Substance show and the RAW Comedy National Grand Final is finally here.

On the music front, British India are performing in Newcastle and Sydney this weekend, Queensland’s biggest underage event Live It Up Music Festival takes place in Brisbane, Kirin J Callinan kicks off his mini-tour in Sydney tonight before two shows in Melbourne this weekend, Birdy is set to soar new heights at Sydney Opera House, and Triple J’s One Night Stand heads to Dubbo with Flume, The Rubens, Ball Park Music, Seth Sentry and more.

Theatre junkies can get their fix as Legally Blonde, the Musical continues its run in Brisbane, comic masterpiece One Man, Two Guvnors is now underway at Sydney Theatre, set to finish up in just under a month and gorgeous opera L'Isola Disabitata shows at Theatre Royal - Hobart.

Weekend not full enough? Felton Food Festival is set to celebrate the region’s vitality and productivity, with celebrity cooks Alastair McLeod and Costa Georgiadis, the organisers of National Youth Week are holding a wrap-up party at Brisbane City Hall or head along to Melbourne’s Psychic Expo for a day of clairvoyants, mediums, psychic artists, tarot and palm readers.
